With the new provincial protocols, our Board has decided for the safety of our volunteers, donors and clients to temporarily close our operation. Effective immediately, we are unable to support clients or receive donations of furniture and household goods. When the situation improves we will reopen.
Our goal is to have gently used household items and furniture donated by citizens of Fort Saskatchewan delivered as quickly as possible to those in need. We have storage units where donations are sorted and stored for the next family or individual in need.
If you have items to donate please check out both the Items We Need list, Accepted Donations list and Items Not Accepted list, then leave us a private Facebook Message and we will respond within 24 hours.
We are a virtual furniture bank - we do not have a store front or phone number to call - to contact us click here.
We look for a full description of items you are offering along with a photo and measurements (for larger items). This helps us to better match items to our clients.
Please check our Items We Need page often as we will post items a client may need, items we do not have at our storage unit, or if our storage unit is at capacity and cannot accept furniture items. Also, please go to Facebook and "like" our Fort Saskatchewan Furniture Bank Facebook page to ensure you get the most recent posts when we are looking for items. Please note we do not deliver to clients or pick-up donations outside of the Fort Saskatchewan city limits.
When you donate to us, you’re doing more than just providing furnishings for a place to rest, study, or prepare a meal. You’re helping create a home and empowering those who live there, so furnishings should be in gently used condition with all parts and hardware included.
