When the local accounting firm Givens LLP offered to send three members of their team to help out at the units -- we jumped at the chance!
It was Work Bee time! To help reduce the time needed to get household items to our clients we prepare different "To Go Boxes" at work bees throughout the year. Those boxes are:
It was great to have some extra hands to sort and pack all the wonderful donations we have received over the last couple of weeks.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate so the volunteers had to work inside the units. Despite the cramped conditions dozens of “To Go” items were sorted and packed and are now ready to go to their new homes.
Thank you to Givens LLP and all the volunteers who came out to work the assembly line. And to our generous community for their recent donations!

- Kitchen (Can Opener, Cutlery, Dishcloths, Measuring Cups & Spoons, Oven Mitts/Pot Holders, Potato Peeler, Serving/Paring Knives, Serving Spoons, Spatula/Lifter, and Tea Towels).
- Bathroom (Bath & Hand Towels, Face Cloths, Toilet Brush, Shower Curtain [with rings], Bath Mat & Medicine Cabinet Organizer).
- Cooking & Baking (Colander, Cookie Sheet, Frypan [Small & Large], Loaf Pan, Muffin Tin, Pie Plate, and Pots [large & small]).
- Bedroom (Sheets [Queen, Double & Twin], pillow slips, mattress covers & new pillows).
It was great to have some extra hands to sort and pack all the wonderful donations we have received over the last couple of weeks.
